Security in Turkey - as of December 2020
From June 1, 2020, Turkish borders are open to foreigners, most air connections have been restored
the land borders with Iran, Iraq, Syria, Georgia and Armenia are closed.
The land border with Greece is open - the Turkish side allows entry.
The land border with Bulgaria is open - people traveling to Germany via Bulgaria must present
a negative COVID-19 test result to the Turkish services.
After arriving in Turkey, travelers are subjected to temperature check at the airport with
a thermal imaging camera. In the event of disease symptoms, they are referred for consultation
to a medical point at airports.
From September 9, 2020, there is an obligation to wear masks throughout the country.
People coming to Turkey are advised to take out insurance covering COVID19 treatment costs.
Failing this, the traveler must cover any medical expenses in Turkey himself.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism implements the Safe Tourism program,
under which a list of hotels with a hygiene certificate has been created.

NEW RESTRICTIONS in Turkey applicable from 1st December!
It is forbidden to leave the house on every weekday from 21:00 to 5:00.
A total ban on leaving the house (lockdown) on WEEKEND from 9:00 p.m. on Friday to 5:00 a.m. on Monday.
People over 65 and under 20 cannot use public transport.
Entrance to the shopping center only with the HES code.
It is forbidden to plan any events and meetings related to the New Year.
These restrictions do not apply to tourists. They are only valid for Turkish citizens
and permanent residents.
All bars and restaurants remain closed. They only provide takeaway service.
