Perge Ancient City, Kursunlu Waterfalls, Aspendos Theatre excursion
Our first stop on P.A.K. (Perge, Aspendos, Kursunlu) tour is magnificient ancient city Perge, which is located 2 km far from Antalya airport. You can witness the history and feel the rise and fall of the many civilisations while you are walking between theather, stadium, agora, roman bath, gymnasium, monumental fountain, coloumn street, high towers, necropolis, greek and roman gates. The city was also important for Christians when Saint Paul preached his first sermon here in 46 AD.
Our itinerary also includes a climatic and soothing nature park with Kursunlu Waterfalls, where in the shade and cool, it will be possible to enjoy the beauty of the waterfalls and even walk directly behind the waterfalls.
After nice moments in waterfalls, we will have a delicious lunch nearby Köprüçay River. Excursion will take us to Aspendos Theather, the biggest and best-preserved in whole Asia Minors' theatre. The theatre was built in Roman period and has been in use ever since! Moreover the theatre can seat up to 20 thousand spectators. Annually Aspendos Theatre hosts Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival (we are also selling tickets for this event), an important cultural event known all around the globe. The phenomenal acoustics of this place makes the shows perfectly audible for the viewers even in the last rows without any modern technology.
Last stop will be in front of amazing Aquaduct, which was built to supply clean water from Taurus Mountains.
